Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, RGNUL
Established in 2018, the Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, is dedicated to fostering academic and professional engagement in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), including Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiation, and Conciliation. Building upon the momentum of the efforts of the Legal Services Authorities under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 to promote ADR as a faster, cost-effective, and amicable method of dispute resolution, the CADR-RGNUL seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice by nurturing a culture of dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in ADR.
At its core, CADR envisions ADR as a vehicle for socio-economic and political justice, contributing to the broader goal of accessible and participatory justice. The Centre serves as a dynamic platform for students, researchers, and professionals to deepen their understanding of ADR through research, capacity-building, and experiential learning. Guided by a committed team of faculty members and students, CADR continues to evolve as a hub for advancing the discourse and practice of ADR in India and beyond.
